There Will Be Blood
07.04.08
- Filed by "Kleptosis" |
Yes, I'm making a thread about this movie instead of just saying that I watched it in the "What is the last movie you saw?" thread. I'm down in Naples, FL (OMG I'M DOING JENKEM EVERY NIGHT DOODZ) visiting my grandparents for the long weekend. Since the hotel room is on their credit card, I decided to watch a movie tonight. After some research on IMDB to see which choice was the least shitty, I decided to watch "There Will be Blood." Wow, what a good movie.

Doctor Who

This weekend is the season finale of Doctor Who (well on BBC One) it is. It's the penultimate conclusion to the current producer Russel T. Davies and quite possibly David Tennant (although I don't think so). Since I know there are more than a few DW nuts on here, thought this would make a good place to make predictions for the finale...

| Playstation home is coming and I just became aware of it. I could compare it to the various other sims etc etc, but from what I'm reading this is a little more RL depth. Don't forget the syber in all its PS3 glory. Hopefully there will be some nude hacks to see the jello bounce. Bleh. When the PS3 is powered on and the first thing you do is navigate its horizontal menu I always felt like something was missing. Content for one, but soon as I would glide over to who is on my friends list I always... [Read More] |

Fines for Fat People
06.24.08
- Filed by "Simatta" |
Saw this on CNN. Japan is issuing huge fines for companies whose employees are overweight (waste size cannot exceed a certain amount). Its an interesting way to fight the obesity problems, but I think if it happened in the US, people would start buying guns and defending their local fast food joints with whatever force necessary.
Actually, those people would already have guns. (Stereotypes ftw)

CS is 9 years old today
06.18.08
- Filed by "Kodo" |
On June 18, 1999, CS beta was first released to the public.
I don't think I have to say much here, I really have no place to speak about the significance of this game, because I didn't get to play CS until right around 1.0 was released. All I know is it was a hell of a lot of fun and the runs we had were fantastic. I would argue that this and Everquest were probably the two most important PC multiplayer games in the past decade. It ran right along the emergence of... [Read More] |

So, yeah. I will have many other stories and video about the actual race, but this tale is a bit too unbelievable to hold inside for the entire night.
The title pretty much sums it up. I was camping this past weekend at a site in Canada. My roommate and I got to the campgrounds just after midnight and it was pitch black. Just as we began to assemble the tent, a thunderstorm arrived and proceeded to completely drench us. Since God is a dick, it only lasted about 15 minutes and... [Read More] |

Here are files that are available for download. This is the content that is entering the mother archive. Some of these have some 2dP easter eggs in them. I forget which one has what. I would like to thank all of you who have supported me throughout the stupid creative years. If it wasn't for you this crap wouldn't exist. Thank you and I hope, with the available space, I can push out the new crap. It's coming........

Uncontacted Tribal people

There's still people who haven't seen other...people. They apparently were ready to fire their arrows at the helicopter that took pictures of them. What I want to know is, how is it possible with Brazil's forest being ravaged by deforestion and that humans have been supposedly everywhere on Earth, they could possibly miss a group of people running around in the forest? Maybe I'm just simplifying the whole thing.
In any case, the whole thing reminds me of that terrible M.... [Read More] |

The crew aboard the International Space Station is working on a problem with the system for collecting solid and liquid waste, which is a trickier proposition without gravity than it is on the Earth. Space toilets use jets of fan-propelled air to guide waste into the proper container.
A NASA status report noted that last week, while using the toilet system in the Russian-built service module, “the crew heard a loud noise and the fan stopped working.” The solid ... [Read More] |

Great discovery for sure, but isn't there other ways to decompose it? Is he REALLY the only one that thought about this problem and managed to solve it, or is there some sort of pressure from the plastic bag industry to halt/kill scientists who are trying to kill plastic?
Besides, what does the plastic decompose into? More trash? Oil? I doubt that what it degrades into could be at all eco-friendly. It probably just turns into oil, unless the bacteria eats the plastic, in which... [Read More] |

It's time to dust off the old shit and bring in some new. In the past a lot of you have heard myself say that 2dP lacks a lot of space. It's actually been a combination of things. Space, Bitchry of ex, and Time. The bitchry is now forever gone and the mind is now calm enough to let some of that old dumb creativity flow in the mind again. I don't want to go backwards...
